In December I got hired on at my current company with a great pay for this area. It is almost double minimum wage. So everytime I don't want to go to work I remind myself I could be flipping burgers and trying to figure out how to pay bills on $10/hr. I like my job, I really do, but sometimes I just don't feel like going to work. I miss the freedom from when I was doing doordash and I could take a day off if I wanted to. I am making some inspirational pages to have at my desk for when I get overwhelmed with it all. I'm putting money away for retirement so that is at least one good thing from this job.

Yes, you have to keep your eye on the goal although I understand why you wouldn’t find the day to day job as enjoyable not being able to pick and choose your days off. But I have to tell you, you’re doing the right thing. My dad’s wife had a full time job, and she has little in retirement due to her job benefits. And it wasn’t even a minimum wage job! If she hadn’t married my dad she’d be almost 70, and still working. I don’t think you want to do that. Only you know what is best for you. I wish you great luck in whatever you do.
