Going to see Janis's horse - eventually

So I am finally meeting up with my friend Janis. I think last time we saw each other we went whale watching in Monterey bay. Awesome trip. I saw so much including a whale breaching. But we haven't seen each other in a while with everything going on in our lives.
Janis went from being obsessively involved in politics to whale watching to horseback riding. We've been talking about me meeting her horse for a while.
We were going to have lunch and meet the horse yesterday, but we pushed it to today because yesterday was hot. I had to arrange today around a couple of things, but we were going to meet for lunch at 12:30 and the go see the horse.
Janis called me just before 12 and said she had overslept. So now we're meeting at 1. But it looks like we're still going to see the horse.
Janis, as long as I have known her (2014, I think), has always been late for everything. Looks like today is no exception. But I do still get to meet her horse.
I hope it isn't a long wait because of Father's day.

I have always loved horses and always had to have a photo taken with any horse I met. I have only ridden once, I hope you and Janis had a good day and you met her horse,
