8 Greens

When I found these, boy did I need the help! I had just lost 30 pounds, and I was looking for anything I could do naturally to feel better than I did (most of you know of my health problems). I saw a sportscaster on TV talk about getting his vegetable intake easily, and he mentioned something called 8 Greens. I sent a tweet to him, and he tweeted me back a picture, and more information. Fast forward to my first time dropping the tablet into a glass of water. I accidentally left it in the kitchen, and went to get groceries. When I returned I had the beginnings of a migraine, and figured I'd have to take a migraine pill when I was done bringing my stuff in from the car. Seeing the glass I had forgotten to drink, I hurriedly drank it, and noticed it didn't taste bad either. Fifteen minutes later when I was done, I realized the beginnings of my migraine was gone! Fast forward more, and I discovered that if I drank the glass of water with 8 Greens before my migraine got any bigger than a three, I could get rid of it without taking a pill! I was excited. After awhile, I quite buying them because of the cost (not overpriced, but overpriced for someone with my income). However, after a few years I am now buying them because my migraines are out of control, and require too many migraine pills (I'm also doing Botox for migraines). After I read reviews of the product it all makes sense; one reviewer commented that 8 Greens helped him cure his hangovers. I read the reviews before I bought them, of course. What natural things help you? Obviously, medication is necessary in so many medical cases, including a lot of mine. But boy does it feel good to find a natural helper after trying so many natural remedies that failed in the past.

That's so cool to find something natural for your migraines. It would indeed be better than taking migraine pills. I don't know if they will have this in Mauritius. I should check it out since my hubby has migraines. I used to infuse bay leaves to lower blood sugar. But then the store stops selling them.

I had to buy 8 Greens online. It would be nice to be able to find them in stores though. No bay leaves? That is so unusual.

I looked at 8 Greens a long time ago and decided I could get all my vitamins and minerals from eating veggies so didn't bother buying that. I just take my meds like a good boy and eat my veggies. I hope you're doing well today.

Yes, I eat my veggies too. That's how I lost 30 pounds, I ate a whole plate of vegetables a day. I just used to be desperate to find something to make me feel better that wasn't another medication. But when I realized it worked on the beginning of a migraine, I started only using it for that. I actually came up with this discussion today because I woke up with a migraine. I had a doctor appointment this morning so I dropped an 8 greens in a bottle of water, and 30 minutes later it was gone. So after that, I can happily day I AM doing well. Thank you for the good wishes!

@AmbiePam You're very welcome. I used to have migraines all the time and my old doctor told me to take extra strength Excedrin for it... Well, that didn't work. A friend offered me one of her muscle relaxants (Soma). I fell asleep and when I woke up, the migraine was gone. I told my old doctor that and she told me I could have all the Soma I wanted. I don't have migraines hardly at all anymore and still have bottles of Soma in the bathroom cupboard, just in case.

@AmbiePam Oh, wow! I've never ground my teeth except in extreme anger... One of my ex-wives was very good at making me angry... I was sooo happy when I got full custody of Pretty and didn't have to put up with my exes crap anymore. (As soon as the judge gave me full custody, Pretty's mom just disappeared. The judge told her if she took me to court again and didn't have a good reason, she was paying the court costs and the cost for my attorney as well as her own.)

I'm all for natural remedies! My parents used to drink a green powder drink from Japan . . . probably similar and yah it is super pricey. That's great it helps you with the migraines! I drink water with a zap of apple cider vinegar with the mother - twice a day. I used to get bronchitis every winter since my 20s, but when I started drinking that, I have had no more bronchitis nor coughing attacks like I used to. I'm gonna keep on drinking it!

@AmbiePam My friends claimed they lost weight and gained more energy throughout the day too. I guess it could be different for everyone - but cool if it does some good! Oh I wish I had more time to spend with you here! You are always so honest and thoughtful (and mindful) . . . you and your words are much appreciated .

I am blessed not to have to take any medication. I drink a lot of iced tea and add lemon juice to it or to cold water and take multivitamins, As soon as I get more money in I am also adding grape juice which I love,

Do you like the regular grape juice, or sparkling? They used to sell the sparkling at Wal-Mart for $2.50. I like the zing of the sparkling, but regular grape juice is delicious itself.

@RasmaSandra Do you prefer Welch's? I love their grape juice. We couldn't afford grape juice when I was a kid, so when I first bought my own groceries, I went straight for the grape juice!

I wish I had known about this years ago. My mom suffered from migraines and this would have been a great help for her. I'm glad you found something that works for you instead of having to take medication.

I think when you have a health problem, and you find something that helps you, you want to share it with everyone else in case it helps someone else too. Do you remember what medication worked for her? It feels like in years passed doctors would just try to make you go to sleep with medication, but I never could sleep it off. One doctor just told me to take a bunch of Benadryl.

For blood pressure too? I didn't that. I'll pass that on to my dad, thank you. My dad actually soaked his feet in apple cider vinegar to get rid of his athletes foot, years ago. He had a minor case of it, and it fixed his feet in a week.

I used ginger crushed and boiled in water to cure my sore throat. I typically mixed the juice with lemon and sugar or honey to make it taste better.

Nice post. Morning breakfast, and night curd rice...I used to skip breakfast because I used to get late to college or work. That started giving severe headache...my doctor advised take good breakfast, slowly ...everything was alright. Then stomach and acidity started...doctor again suggested curd and rice...in the night...it works too.

@AmbiePam You could take it in the night or in the morning...preferably morning before coffee...that does not taste good for me...so I opt for night...curds and rice just a tablespoon of it, every night cures any acidity issues you might be experiencing. As to stomach ache due to constipation, a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds with water gulp it down as if you are taking that many tablets....same effect is possible with cumin seeds.

These pills are a real game changer for you. My hubs went to bed early last night with the start of a migraine. We do not have a go to that is natural, we are more prone to do without, and its the common things, sodium, and a few other things that trigger them for him. Mine are usually random and I cannot really pinpoint a trigger.

I have a cyst in my head that they might be triggering the migraines, but the ones lately I think are stress related. Some are also TMJ related since I grind my teeth (I wear a dentist made mouth piece). And then last week I had a 3 day migraine triggered by just one spritz of non toxic, natural bug spray. I had seen one bug by the “patio” door, and thought I’d spray some bug spray along where the door opens. One small spritz and the right side of my head had a dagger in it. It’s ridiculous. Are your migraines pretty bad, even though they are random? My neurologist told me to take Magnesium to try to prevent them.

@Juliaacv Thank you for the prayers. And if you try the Magnesium, they have Magnesium Citrate, but the neurologist said Magnesium Glycinate 200mg to 250mg is the most effective. Heather (GardenGerty) told me about it years ago, but then the Neuro brought it up.

I have been trying not to take over the counter medicine for my cramps. I bought a wireless heating pad that has massage pulses. It has helped. (I do take birth control too for my period.) I am going to take cbd before I go see my gyno again in Jan. I can't relax during pap smears. I also use cloth pads when I have period.

I can't relax during them either. It's why I haven't been in three years despite knowing I should go. Unfortunately, CBD has never helped me. I do know a guy who uses it for his arthritic hands, but now his daughter makes him take it before he comes to his great grand child's baseball games because it keeps him from yelling at the refs.

Believe me, if it wasn't necessary, I wouldn't take it. I feel like I've tried every natural remedy on earth. When I first got on disability, I had the sweetest church members. They'd bring me every natural and herbal remedies available; none worked. One particular powder made me throw up But they tried, and I appreciated that love. Pharmaceuticals do want to get you any way they can. I think some doctors are catching on. My PCP is a nurse practioner, and I like how he thinks about medicine. He is sending me to an arthritis center, and they are into new therapies, and not medicine. I'm really excited about that.
