Health Journey 2023 - June 19th

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? Hopefully well. I am back to share how I am doing on my "health" journey. Weigh in - Last Monday 223. June 19th - 220.6 I am still down almost 3 pounds...I figured I would gain everything back over the weekend but I didn't. Calories- 1,335 Protein - 48 Fat - 52 Carbs - 169 Fiber - 6 Sugar - 38 Today I had 2 different sandwiches, some fries, and a donut. I only had 2 meals (the donut was right after meal #2) I did play frisbee with Eli for 30 minutes, which including running around after the frisbee, and a lot of bending to pick up the frisbee. So I think that counts as exercise for me. My sugar wasn't too bad after my first meal, maybe because I did the running around after it. However after the 2nd meal it was over 200. I also did have more carbs at that meal. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow since the calories were not super high today. What do you think?

You are still doing well, and I understand the temptation of a donut. Luckily? Sadly? Donuts make me feel incredibly tired so I don’t eat them anymore. Playing Frisbee with your son is a great idea for exercise! Plus, I’m sure he enjoyed playing with his mama.

Well it may not be just the donuts, but the carbs or the gluten. But I do hear that. Carbs all make me feel tired if they spike my sugar. Sadly I am not doing all that well to be honest...

Sounds like you're doing well. Yes that count's as exercise. How about walking, can you fit that in. I walk everyday to blow off steam plus my weight of course.

@MommyOfEli2013 oh I didn't know, shows I haven't been on. But life happens and you know you got this. If I don't walk I will ride my bike, especially when my sciatic is hurting and that's almost everyday.

@hillhjill Well that is okay, life happens for sure. Well that is good that you can ride your bike too....I know about the pain everyday...I don't know what is causing mine but I understand the pain

I am not doing very well at all, actually. My doctor is going to be mad probably in a few weeks. That's great that you walk everyday. I can't really walk every day...for one it is boring to me lol, and 2nd my back will scream at me after 5 minutes. I put on 20 pounds this year, and around 40 since the last month or 2 of 2022.

Playing around is fun way to exercise. I will prefer it over some boring gyming. I enjoy playing outdoor games with my family. We often go to the badminton court.

It would be "fun" if I could actually do it without being in pain. I had to stop every 5 minutes because my back was killing me and I was out of breath. Badminton is fun

@MommyOfEli2013 Oh! Back pain or any body pain can be annoying and make such activities not enjoyable. After Covid infection, I do get bad days with my left knee. It has limited many of my activities.

Yeah I was not too upset with the calories. But I am sure today they are much higher. Made homemade fingersteaks.

I think you had a good workout playing with Eli. Your numbers look good. Though your carbs are high.

Well when walking around and bending over causes me a lot of back pain, that is a big workout. If I was 50 pounds lighter that wouldn't be so difficult. Yeah I know the carbs are high....I wish I wasn't addicted to them.
