The book in the picture is a book my seven year old nephew, Hudson, picked out to give my dad for his 68th birthday tomorrow. I have to say, Hudson has amusing taste, and my dad got a big laugh out of it. He read it as well! Did you know birds do not fart? Parrots make sounds like they do, but don't actually pass gas. The beaded lacewing bug information was gross, so I won't share that one.
Do you often give funny gifts? I am way more likely to give a funny gift to a man over a woman, but I did once give a female friend an adult coloring book of people caught in Wal-Mart. She thought it was one of the best gag gifts she ever received!
*I shop at Walmart, so I’m not trying to offend anyone. But surely if you live in the United States, you’ve seen the pictures…

I gave a female friend a... uhm... let's just call it fancy underclothes with holes in the wrong places for a gag gift once... Her hubby laughed until he cried... She didn't think it was very funny so I'm glad I also got her a gift card so she could buy something she preferred.

I never wondered how animals fart, but I am deeply aware of how they typically "clean" their rears using their tongues. So, I often wonder how some people could allow their pets to lick them in the mouth. There are lots of germs and intestinal parasites that could be transmitted that way. Oh sorry, it's somewhat out of topic.
The best gag gift I ever received was an undie with a hole at the center of its front portion, if you know what I mean, This was a gag gift during a girl's all-night party before my wedding.

What a great book pick . I did not know that about birds - and we have a bird 
. I used to give gag gifts all the time . . . but I guess they are more about inside jokes. I once gave a fellow parent friend a huge box of Sunmaid raisins as part of her gift . . . because she told us how her little son said he thought the lady on the box was his mom .

That is why birds will die if they eat anything that lets off a any kind of gas. "Birds don’t typically carry the same kinds of gas-forming bacteria in their gut as humans and other mammals to help digest food."
That is pretty funny book your nephew picked for your dad.

So I wondered if I named the wrong bug so I texted my dad to go look at the book, and get back to me. It wasn’t the stick bug; it is a beaded lacewing bug that is really gross. The details are gross (which you can look up), but their farts are actually deadly.

That sounds like an interesting, and informative book! I like to give funny gifts, but don't usually find any haha. That coloring book sounds funny, for sure

My dad actually enjoyed reading the book. As for the Walmart coloring book, it definitely was. I remember one was of a woman with half her rear end hanging out of her shorts. And they were shorts no one, and I mean no one, should ever wear.
