Recently I bought a new laptop that is a hp After using after a while it started going off over sudden, i started checking for viruses or corrupt files in my laptop. I even scanned for software that consume a lot of power in my laptop only to find that the screen consumes a lot of power Only to realize that the battery has just malfunctioned and according to my research only I have to replace it. Has some thing like this ever happened to you before?

I think it will still work even without battery if you put its charger, but I'm not sure about it. I never used to have my own laptop

It will, unless there's something else going on like a problem with the charger port.

I always plug in my laptop when I use it; so the battery is always 100%. I hope a new battery solves your problem. Have a good week.

@thebos Yes. I'm right next to an outlet; so I plug it in. I tried it without plugging it in years and years ago. I don't know how long it lasted.

Yeah, I have. I had to find a replacement for a computer, because the battery was dangerous and already did damage to the components, and it could've been a fire hazard.
