Shock and Distress.

I think I still am up to now.
I am thankful we were not there when it happened. But it gave me the chills and creeps just to think that it happened. I think I got paranoid for the next few days or weeks after that. I was not able to sleep well thinking someone might get inside the house and all even though we changed locks and add more. Never want to leave my kids alone at home, it is nerve-wracking. I need to check the doors and windows several times before going to bed and check them first thing in the morning.
I am grateful that through this, I did not lose my mind and I am still thinking straight though full of anxiety and fear. I am still in the process of moving forward but we are not even halfway there. I hope the time will come and everything will be much better for us.
Thank you for reading this, I am grateful somehow I can let this out of me.

It is but natural when your home is violated by someone you would feel that way. I think what is important is you've secured your house and you are all safe and sound in your house. I think you need to relax for now since having anxiety always is not good for your mental wellness too. You need to convince your mind that it is okay for now to rest and feel secure once again.

I would be double checking everything too. But I bet they wouldn’t have robbed you if you all had been home. It is way too coincidental, and most robberies occur when the residents are away from their home. That won’t make you feel better, but it is true at least. You’ve been through something incredibly traumatic, and it is wonderful that you are able to see the positives. I really hope you all can heal soon, even though I know it takes time.

It's natural to feel distressed and worried when your home was invaded. I hope you can move past this soon.

I think it is natural when something frightening like that happens that you would have a bit of PTSD for awhile.

Why what happened? I must have missed some of your posts. I also want to increase the security at home. Hard times, isnt it?

I would do the same if I were in that situation. I hope everything will be safe and secure once again.
This is the reason we have installed CCTV at the door of our residence and a motion-detector light that comes on when it detects movements. Our neighbors have also dogs that warn us when strangers are in the vicinity.
I pray you would be able to resolve your problem effectively. Take care
