Well, no dry spell today.

We just had some rain come through. Short sweet, and perfect. It's not much but should help nock the humidity down a peg. Which is good. Chilly is on the couch, and our house is actually cool. With our solar panels providing most of the energy, our electric bill won't be t through the roof in the summer. So, I'm liking a nice cool house. So is George.

How long did it take for the solar panels to pay for themselves? I’m not sure if I know anyone who has them. I heard it only takes about a year and a half, but I wouldn’t know.

@AmbiePam It mostly depends on where you live and how much sun you get in a day. We got ours while the days were still shrinking.... so... but now it's worth its weight in gold.

It took about a month or two before we saw real results. We had ours turned on during the winter months when the days were at their shortest.

A heat advisory is in effect from 11 am through 7 pm today due to the heat outside with no rain in sight.

This June I believe has taken the prize for hottest June on record. It has been super hot and very humid. Even when we get some rain, it doesn't really help, oh, maybe for a while the next day, but the humidity stays high. I turned on the AC this morning to do the cat boxes.

We had rain for the last few days but the weather does not seem to have changed much. Was hoping the weather would cool down a bit.

Now, that you're saying it. Perhaps, I would opt for solar panels as well. Our electric bill is already off the roof. Have a nice day.
