A woman who lives in Pinellas County Florida was going to enter her swimming pool on Tuesday June 20 when she saw an alligator swimming inside of her pool. The woman whose name was not released to the public called the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) to ask them for their help in removing the alligator from her swimming pool. The deputies with the PCSO with the help of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commision teamed up to remove the alligator from her swimming pool and the wildlife officials to take the alligator to a safer location. The woman admitted that the alligator went into her swimming pool to cool off under a hot sunny day. Link is upi.com/5631687551302 via @upi

I know too many crazy people who would try to remove the alligator themselves.

This is horrible and fortunately nobody gets hurt. It is also nice the alligator was removed to a safer location.

My daughter and her family, as well as some other family, live in Pinellas County. The alligator in the pool happens way, way more often than people realize. My son in law found one in their pool the first summer they lived there--a very small one. But others they know there have found them in theirs as well.

@Deepizzaguy In the tropical climates, such as Florida, etc. I think so many people are so used to removing critters that they don't even report it. I know a family in St. Petersburg, FL. that have removed quite a few tiny, baby alligators, giant frogs, snakes, and who knows what all, from their swimming pools.

@MarieCoyle I did not know that people who live in Florida have to deal with frogs and gators inside of their swimming pools.

People are so brave to live in areas where alligators and bears are. I would be terrified every time I stepped outside.
