I try to drink as much as I can, but I don't find the taste very exciting even when you add a lime slie or cucumber or something. I fill up an inspirational water jug in the morning, and the next day it is still half full. The jug just has sayings to help you drink water throughout the day. So far I have had coffee, Two glasses of a strawberry Mio beverage a little bit of diet juice and no water...I am hopeless! Well, I will drink a glass soon I think. How is your water consumption?

I drink about a third of a gallon a day. I buy my water in gallons because the water in my apartment complex isn’t fit to drink. At the end of the day, about a third is gone. I also drink Coke, and if I’m not drinking Coke, I am guzzling water.

@snowy22315 I admire that. I don’t drink a ton of Coke, but I would do better to drink less.

@AmbiePam Especially if you get migraines. It could be contributing..especially if you aren't drinking as much as usual.

@Tampa_girl7 Wow! well that is scary. At first I thought you were going to say it was because you were drinking too much water. That water toxicity thing is real and can happen as well.

@snowy22315 About 20 years ago my husband had to rush me to the emergency room several nights in a row. My heart was racing like crazy. It was really scary. That it was a 30 minute drive made it worse. They hooked me up each time, but my heart looked fine. Finally one night they saw my heart going nuts. The other nights it had stopped by the time they hooked me up. I was sent to a cardiologist who said that I was severely dehydrated. Every since then I drink plenty of water. I never want to experience that again.

@maclanis Yeah, I figured it was about that. I knew it was roughly similar to our quart 32 oz.

I drink about three quarts of water in a 24 hour period. Sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less. (Pretty gripes if I have trouble giving her blood for the glucose test. *shrug*) I add unsweetened lime juice or lemon juice to the water. Anything is better than the taste of plain water. Once in a while, I add a jot of a flavor enhancer.

Yes, drinking it plain just isn't exciting, but I try. Ice cubes help too.

@snowy22315 I don't like ice in my water. I want it room temperature. (I keep the quart bottle sitting on my headboard close to me so I can just take a drink when I'm feeling a little thirsty.)

I do drink water a lot throughout the day due to the extreme heat outside to avoid dehydration and for health concerns. I would say about six glasses of water a day.

I realized I have to drink water at least 3 liters a day since I was in my thirties. I found out my skin became soft and translucent perhaps because I am well dehydrated when I began my water therapy. It's nice to have this kind of therapy because water is life.

@snowy22315 It may be too much for some and I've read it may depend on our height and weight and how many liters is good for us.

I love drinking my water unless I'm extremely busy that I tend to forget drinking one. But I like how refreshing it is. And I drink a lot in a day.

@snowy22315 Yeah coz I remember back when I was a student I suddenly got sick with a high fever. My sister brought me to a doctor and I've been told I had UTI. And that was because I was too busy to drink water and would sometimes hold my pee. So I learned my lesson from then on and would always drink water.

I have a 32-ounce bottle that I usually go through in one day. Sometimes I go through one and a half bottles. Then there are days when I drink almost no water. That hasn't been the case lately. I've been drinking a lot of water lately.

Good, water does help flush salt out of your system, and helps keep you full. All the big diet programs recommend drinking it.

Maybe you could try bottled or filtered. I usually have bottled water in the car, and sometimes when the bottles are done, I will refill and put in the fridge.

@snowy22315 I'm too mean to pay for water when it's free from the tap. I guess I'll get used to it in time.

Those other beverages count for hydration as well. It does not have to be water. Latest studies even include coffee as "water." Drinking diluted juice and such helps replenish electrolytes you lose when you sweat. Shoot, popsicles count and sno cones as well. When I worked in nursing homes they included jello, pudding and soup in their fluid intake data. If my drink cup is in sight, or within reach I just keep on drinking. Some days more than others.

They do, but water is likely the best for you in alot of ways. Although some say it isn't. In Weight Watchers they used to allow you to count other fluids as half your water intake. Not all beverages are created equally unfortunately, and some may be contraindicated.

I think I drink enough, though I couldn't tell you exactly how much. Daily, I drink 1 cup of water with a zap of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of green tea or coffee (coffee only on weekends mostly), 1 cup of heated almond milk, and the rest is all water throughout the day. I can see/feel the difference on my skin . . . so I do make it a point to drink a lot of water.

I try to drink about two liters of water a day, especially on hot summer days such as today in my country, but I consume more liquids in the form of coffee, tea, or orange juice, and even a Coke once in a while. I try to make sure that I drink enough liquids to avoid the negative effects of dehydration.

I'm a big water drinker. I always have a glass of water next to me and I probably drink at least 64 ounces a day in addition to my two cups of coffee in the morning and maybe an iced tea or diet coke in the afternoon.
