We have the star fruits growing in our garden and although I do not quite like them there are some who I give them to as they have lungs issues They are sweet and sour You just need to eat them or make a juice Some make jam or when they are slightly they are used for making pickle. I get the feeling parrots have lung issues as this is one fruit they come for despite us having so many other fruits. Or perhaps they want to improve their voice. As of the birds parrots love to chat.

I like star fruit. I used to eat it as fruit salad with tamarind sauce.

We use to add to this to some dishes in place of vinegar. I have a sweet tongue so I don't eat it alone.

I like fruits, almost all kinds. But I agree that one can not eat too much of star fruits. They leave a weird sourness later of you eat too much. I enjoy a few pieces with rock salt and chat masala. Good that you share them with people who might benefit from these. Interesting that parrots like them.

Not just star fruit any fruit for that matter should be consumed in moderation. You are right about that taste as it has a sour taste and as for me I do not eat them.

Do these fruits cure humans, too of lung issues? My mom passed due to lung cancer. I want to know if I can also take this for lung health since we have a history of lung disease. I am thankful I got this information from you. In our country, we call it Balimbing.
