Totally unplanned, I should have looked

For the most part Bob sets up the coffee pot so I can turn it on when I choose. I had him pour the remainder in the metal carafe into a pitcher in the refrigerator, so we could pour it over ice today. He set up a new pot. Put the grounds in the basket. He filled the water tank. And came to bed. AT 5 a.m. I got up for the bathroom, and had a headache, so in the dark I pushed the magic button, thinking I would get up to fresh brewed coffee. I did alright. He did not put the carafe under the place the coffee comes out. It had no place to go, so it went everywhere. The grounds overflowed the basket. Coffee was on the countertop on both sides of the sink. What could I do? I cleaned it up and brewed a fresh pot, into the carafe. I am having my first cup of coffee.
