Why I choose not to purchase medicines online

So my neighbor needed some medicines yesterday, and they were not available anywhere. Over the years, I have developed a kinda rapport with two medical stores. They generally have most of the medicines that we use. If they don't have them, they organize procurement, taking a couple of days more. But ultimately, I get those medicines. They greet me, I greet them back. Recently, one of the guys even volunteered to take me and/or my father to the hospitals should the need arise. Now, that is a huge offer because when a person is sick, mind takes leave because of preoccupation with documents, and worry. Driving on road can be dangerous, at such times. Especially in India. With online purchases, it is not possible to develop such rapport because the delivery boy is not the same all the time. Just to tell you...personal relationships matter...

What a good customer service they have, really extending their hand to help. I appreciate these kind of pharmacies/medical stores, they not only build customers but also long lasting good relationships with them.

@vandana7 I havent encountered something similar to yours. Mostly we have to pay for services no volunteers.

I absolutely agree, relationships matter. I have never bought my medicine online either. I am very glad your neighbor had you, and I’m sure they are too.

Most of the time I will go to the phamacy to buy the medicine since it is very close to my home. But I also bought medicine online before since at that time the medicine I wanted was not available in the phamacy and there is no better choice.

We cannot order medicines online, but our doctor can send the prescription to our pharmacy and the pharmacy delivers to our home.

Sometimes they send near to expiry date medicines.
