Thanks to the efforts of Warren County Sheriff Office (WCSO) Sergeant Pascual "Rocky" Girard who was off duty on his way to dinner in Corinth New York on Wednesday afternoon when he saw a couple named Enrique and his wife Patricia Murcia in trouble in the Hudson River floating after the paddle boat took on water when they tried to rescue their son who was paddling on his boat. The name of their son was not mentioned managed to swim toward the shore safely after Enrique held on to him by his oar when he was paddling but not moving. Enrique was wearing his life vest but his wife was not wearing her life vest when they were floating in the water past a safety cable near the Irving Densmore Bridge which was near a dam. Sergeant Girard had help from Saratoga County Deputy Nikk Milligan entered the river to rescue the couple from a tragic ending in the river that had strong currents. The couple was saved thanks to the police officers who were in the area. Patricia admits that she made an error in judgement not wearing a life jacket. Patricia admits that she will take swimming lessons this summer. She is very grateful that the police officers risked their lives to save them that day. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/....

I'm so glad they were rescued. I"m sure Patricia will wear her life jacket from now on. I'm glad that she's taking swimming lessons.

Patricia dodged a bullet this time and she will learn her lesson to be more careful.

So many people would be alive today if they wore a life vest.

You are right since it is always best to be safe than to be sorry.
