Does anyone else coupon?

I started last year and I used to be a hoarder really bad and I am always worried that I am going to slip back into old habits with this.
Does anyone else have that issue or is it just me?
I only use apps so I don't have to lug a big binder around like we used to have to do whenever we went shopping.
I primarily coupon at Dollar General and Family Dollar. Every once in a while I coupon at Target or CVS, even rarer I may coupon at Walgreens.
Right now I haven't had any money to coupon which is fine because when I look to my left I can see 2 bottles of fabric softner, one for everyone and one for my bedding, 21 conatiners of liquid and pods, plus the sams club box of pods, the Gain container of pods, and the 2pk of Persil pods that are currently in the laundry room.
So I'm not really panicking not having been couponing.
Now, I know that what I listed is a LOT of laundry products. HOWEVER, whenever someone posts that they are in needs or that money is tight and they need groceries, which I can't help with, I always reach out and offer a few bottles/containers of laundry soap. My Persil is the only thing I never sell or give away. There is no way that I can justify Persil on my income so I don't give or sell it.
My Gain and Arm & Hammer I will gladly give away to people in need.
Right now the only thing we really need that I haven't been getting since I haven't been couponing in a month or more is those scent beads. I will probably just grab one of them on payday from Sam's Club since my daughter is now using my bedding ones.
What is something that you love getting with coupons? What is your thing that you coupon the most?

My wife used to coupon. Once she figured out how long it took her to sort and catalog her coupons and what she would actually save, she gave it up. It took longer than it was worth. She still uses one if she happens across it and is planning to buy the product anyway.

Oh, I remember when we all had to have a binder we took with us. Now it is so much easier since it is all on the store app and you just plug your phone number in at the register.
I still remember going and buying 78 jars of spaghetti sauce because I had a $1 coupon and they were on sale for Buy One Get One Free at Walmart.
I ended up donating about half of them but we used the others. That was my last big paper coupon trip years ago. Someone stopped me to ask if I was Mormon lol. I said, "Yeah, can I help you?" They figured it was a cult thing. I gave them some of my coupons, told them to go grab another cart and follow me. I then pointed out how to stack it to get the best deal.

@fatragu I will admit we do make great use of our affiliate cards at grocery stores and gas stations. I saved 25 cents a gallon at Sheetz the other day filling up my truck. When you're buying 20+ gallons of gas at a time, 25 cents/gallon adds up.

I used to cut coupons out of the Sunday paper until years ago we finally quit getting the Sunday paper. I started doing them on Mypoints later, but I never really bought what they offered coupons for. CVS offered coupons, but I soon realized I could buy cheaper at Walmart what it would cost to buy the same item at CVS with their own coupon. So now, I’m basically a coupon less shopper.

I pretty much just do Dollar General and Family Dollar. Walgreens, Target, CVS, are all 40 minutes away from me. If you have tik tok you should search "Dollar General (or other store) couponing" on Fridays. The creators that do the coupons will break it down, show you what to get, what to clip for coupons, and tell you what the pretax total should be. The apps make it so much easier now.

I am late seeing this post..so sorry. Yes, I coupon and used to teach coupon classes when I lived in Connecticut. I don't seem to do all that well with coupons for laundry products but I do well with basic food and cleaning products. I would love to stock up more, but my husband hates clutter, so I can't do too much stocking up. I really do well with Ibotta. Do you use that app?
