Orcas Feasting on Moose

United States

I didn't believe this when I read it on Wikipedia, which states that their greatest predators are humans, wolves, bears and ORCAS. What? How is this true? Apparently, in Alaska and Canada, Moose will swim from island to island looking for something good to eat, and while they are in the water the orcas will take advantage of the fast food right in front of them. It doesn't happen often since they live in such different habitats but weirdly it does happen. Orcas are so scary because of their combined pack mentality and intelligence, and now they are taking down boats, and if they were land animals who knows where they would be on the food chain. This world is amazing, and we could never learn everything there is to know about this universe even if we lived thousands of years. One more thing, it feels so weird to write the plural of moose as moose, somehow it just feels wrong. Picture is from pixabay This explains it in more detail.

It never would have occurred to me that moose would have to worry about orcas! And I know, the plural of moose still being moose, sounds odd.

@misunderstood_zombie it makes sense. Moose needs to go to a different location to get food. Moose needs to cross a body of water and not in its natural element, orcas take advantage of the situation.

@allen0187 I guess it just feels unbelievable because when I think of a moose I think of them in Deep Forest areas, and not swimming around a body of water where there's orcas.

That is the animal world, I have seen documentaries of crocodiles waiting from deer crossing the river for their easy fast food.
