Frugal shopping: Walmart clearance find!

So, like any other kid about her age, she child has become obsessed with surprise toys and one of her favorite brands is mini brands five surprise. It’s basically the ball that has five different sections that has miniature versions of real brands. We had to stop at Walmart tonight to get allergy medication after I got stung a bit or something while at a friends house and when we walked in, she asked me if we could go to the clearance section. The first thing she saw was a display of mini brands in the clearance section and since they are usually $7.47 I told her that if they were decently priced we would get one. One of my favorite things at the Walmart app does is it you can scan a barcode in the store and it will tell you what the prices of the clearance price or whatever and so we did that and it was priced at $4.75 or some thing and so I told her she could have it and then when we got to the register to check out it was actually priced at three dollars so we got an even better deal than I thought we would. Can’t beat making the kid happy and saving almost four dollars and fifty cents. So that’s the most recent score I have made. What have you found on sale recently?

Haven't been to any stores recently. I did some grocery shopping yesterday but there were no major discounts offered.

I get clearance toys all the time at Walmart. When a grandchild visits I give them the toys. You got a good deal on that toy.

The best deal I've gotten lately was getting a 5% veterans' discount on the cost of the new tires for the camper. That may not sound like much, but it saved me $9 per tire, and I needed 5 tires, including the spare.

We are looking at a camper right now actually. Hoping to have one by the end of the year.

@thislittlepennyearns I'm adding a link to the website K, and I used to research our first camper, a popup we bought back in 2014. We didn't wind up buying through the site, but it did help us with knowing what to expect to pay and what we wanted in the camper.

That’s great! Seriously, I get excited by the smallest bargain these days. I saved two dollars on one flash frozen salmon microwave dinner, and it made my day. I’m trying to find blessings in even the smallest of places.
