What is the greatest work of art you have stood in front of?

I was on Twitter earlier and this was a question someone asked, and I thought I would ask those reading this post the same question.
I think for me it was the Portrait of Terentius Neo and his wife when the Pompeii exhibit came to Dallas back in the 70's. I had a Pompeii book with this picture on the cover and that made it more special to see. It was such an amazing day to see art and history from so long ago.
I also loved the King Tut exhibit when it came to Dallas in 2009, everything was so fascinating. Though it wasn't too nice being stuffed inside the museum with so many people, because we could hardly move.
So what is the greatest work of art you have stood in front of?
Here are pictures from the Pompeii art that came in 1979?
Here's info about the King Tut exhibit.

I would love to go to both of these places. As I was writing this I thought you would have seen many great pieces of art, since you are from Italy.

@misunderstood_zombie I have been to two towns that have art works on those things too. The town I live in doesn’t have them so I don’t know exactly what they are either but I sure love seeing them.

What a great idea to be aware of artist in your city. I don't even know any artist in our city, but the city does put art up on street corners that cover some kind of electrical device, maybe a transformer.

What a great thing that your mom took your to so many museums. I took my kids to science and history museums and stuff like that but they hated art museums.

This is true, sometimes the best art is in nature.

I know a lot of people who don't like art at all, my kids included, but we are all unique in what we love.

Um...hm. Never been to a museum, so I would have to say...one of my mother's cross-stitches?

For me in the case of art. I will vote for my own poetry because I have given my tears and blood with each of my pieces... Ha ha...

One day the original copy will be worth a great deal of money.
