Framed Pigeons

Many moons ago in Latvia we had purchased a digital camera with an option to put certain photos into frames. I had forgotten I still had these photos. Anyway, I thought this was rather eye-catching. It is lunchtime for a crowd of pigeons on the grassy lawn of a park. They cannot seem to find room for one another. Meanwhile, on the left side at the top, you can see a seagull, who has probably already eaten plenty of fish and is standing there wondering what the fuss is all about. These pigeons are lucky that their lunch break won’t be interrupted because it is rare to see wandering cats in parks. However, if they were eating on the side of a city street they might come under the watchful eye of some cat hobos roaming about.

I've never seen live pigeons feeding, only pictures or videos of the event.

@jobelbojel I've been all over the US but never stopped in a big city that had a pigeon problem. I've only been out of the US once, when I went a few miles into Mexico to visit a friend I'd made in grade school. Pigeons in Mexico are considered lunch.

It's still hard to believe we can say many moons ago and digital camera in the same sentence.

@Chellezhere well it was in the early 2000s so that now seems a very long time ago,

@RasmaSandra My son is 28, so the early 2000s seem like only yesterday.

I remember pre-digital cameras - still have a few undeveloped rolls of film from those days too

I remember the days when my cousin was fascinated by taking her digital camera wherever she goes. No smartphones, no social media, just printing of the photos. The framed photo looks nice.

Great photo. I wish I could still use my digital camera. It used floppy disks. It was so easy to use a photo from one of the disks compared to my camera now with its card. I have to take out the batteries every time I want to use a photo because they block the card. Enjoy your day.

That is a nice picture of those pigeons. They are here at the duck pond.

That was an interesting digital camera. I cannot believe that I bought my first one more than 20 years ago.
