In Orissa there are many rivers. The Mahanadi is the 3rd largest river of entire India. The waters of the river and its distributors help a lot in irrigation. The silt of the river makes farmlands fertile and rice, potato, cauliflower, and other vegetable are grown in abundance.

thanks Erly i am not sure. Actually the river originates in Orissa then goes to Andhra Pradesh finally ends in Bay of Bengal. In such a large stretch of movement may be crocodiles are there in the part adjacent to the sea
