On the disposal dinnerware theme do you reuse plastic utensils?

For me, it depends on the sturdiness of the utensil. I don't usually reuse plasticwear that might come with a salad or something...but if it is heavier duty stuff I will wash and re use. I feel I am not being AS wasteful if I can get several uses out of it.. Also, some of it is good for quite awhile.

I don't even remember the last time I used plasticware, I only have a few dishes for myself now and not need for such things,

I seem to get it with various take out items. When my dishwasher wasn't working, I bought some of it too.

Yeah, the heavier duty it is, the more likely you are to use it again.

I reuse most plasticware. When I go to a restaurant, they give us what we have not eaten in plastic containers. They are meant to be thrown away, but I don´t do it and neither mt best friend (with whom I go out when I do) does. They are all the size of one serving so they are even better to place in a corner of the freezer. I also reuse the plastic ice cream containers. Those I keep to give away with leftover food to my younger friends and family. I know they won´t come back.

In my (much) younger days I always washed and reused the plastic cutlery.
Fast forward to today, when all of those pieces of plastic cutlery is in containers in the closet and actually will only ever be used once again. I will probably not live long enough to use them all up.
And, to top it all off, the single use plastic cutlery is banned here. They can no longer be sold.
They sell similar ones made from bamboo, and they are single use only.

@Juliaacv My mother is like that. I swear she has or had, not sure if she is still saving them a gallons worth of them in various containers around the kitchen, and on the enclosed patio.

@snowy22315 And I can be such a packrat.
One week we should just use them until I have a reasonable amount left.

You can though, especially if it is sturdy.

It depends. When Pretty and I still went out to eat, no, I didn't bother keeping the plasticwear we got with our food. When we go on a picnic, I have the expensive plasticwear and yes, I do wash and we do re-use that.

Yeah, some of them seem to last much longer than you would think.
