Freckles or no freckles? Now you can choose?

I heard some girls talking today while I was waiting at the pharmacy. One of them was waiting on her prescription, and of course the pharmacy was busy. She was very concerned that she was going to be late for her ''very important appointment'' as she stressed to the pharmacy technician.
The important appointment? She was getting freckles tattooed on her face. She said she got to pick where she wanted the freckles, and they would dot them on at the tattoo parlor.
I have had some freckles my entire life. It often goes right along with being a redhead. No, I don't really have hardly any on my face, I use sunscreen. I can remember girls trying to bleach out their freckles with lemon juice, peroxide, etc. I just lived with mine, they didn't bother me. (Besides, my Dad called me Freckle-face!).
Tattoos on the face of a very young lady...why can't the laws be different, or something to be done, to not let people get tattoos until they are older? I guess I am getting older than I thought, I just don't think this is a good idea. But evidently, it's a TikTok obsession. Ugh.
Would you get tattoos of freckles??

If they are natural I would be okay but why tattoo them? I find no reason this generation is going in a windwhirl.
It's like the dimples where people are having them and you can see how weird it looks as some go extremely wrong

I just don't understand trends like this, or people that have to have something or get something, just because they saw it on a Tik Tok video.

The things people do just to follow trends just surprises me every day. I don't know why.

Not really sure you could call it a clique, just maybe following trends or silly fashions.

I wouldn't coz I'm too old for freckles and it may only look like age spots on my face making me look even older.

@MarieCoyle Always proud of my age. I just don't want to do anything unnatural to my face that would make me look older.

I have freckles on my arms, back and chest... I'm glad they aren't on my face but if they were, I'd just live with them.

I just cannot imagine anyone wanting freckles enough to get them tattooed on their cheeks.
Growing up, sister and I both had freckles. We didn't think about it, they were just there, like yours. I do remember girls in high school trying everything to get rid of theirs---even dabbing on bleach!! Idiotic!

@MarieCoyle I was just reading something on a health website that talked about ten ways to get rid of freckles. Let me see if I can find the site again...
If somebody on myLot wants to know if they can get rid of freckles, here is the site I was reading before...

Yes it's good to accept it but I wonder why people would just force having them

I have nothing against tattoos, but the age to get them should be a little higher than it is. You wouldn't believe how many people I know who regret getting tattoos all over their body. And every one of them say the same exact thing...."I was young and stupid." Yep, young people's brains aren't fully developed to the point where they can understand the long-term repercussions of their decisions. Yes, tattoos can be removed, but it is costly and timely. These young people should think about it more before impulsively going out and doing something they are going to regret later in life.

@MarieCoyle Maybe someday there will be a quick, easy, and cheap way to remove tattoos. Until then, people will just have to keep regretting their poor decisions.

I just don't think they realize that tattoos are forever, unless you really spend $ to remove them. And health insurance is not going to cover the removal. I know many, many people who regret their tattoos.

That sounds so insane to me: freckle tattoos. I’m sure she’ll never regret that in the coming years. I still remember the rerun of the episode in the Brady Bunch where Jan uses lemon juice to try to rid herself of them. I don’t have freckles, but I don’t think I would mind them.

I had freckles on my cheeks ever since I can remember! But if they weren't natural, I wouldn't have them. The ones on my cheeks are mostly gone, due to me applying sunscreen since I burn so easily. Most of my freckles now are on my hands and arms, they are slow to fade, I guess.

I think I saw something like this on FB. Someone had a dog named "Freckles", but the dog passed away . . . so in his honor the owner was tattooing freckles (but I think it was on their arm). I just don't understand tattooing on the face at all . . . but I guess freckles would be better than big ugly images or words .

@MarieCoyle Right - I don't care for facial tats either. Why do people mess up their faces like that? I guess the freckle tats are a "thing" . . . not my thing . . . I shake my head to what young people are into these days to make themselves look good .

I think it's sort of sad, that they don't realize they are already beautiful, just the way they are.

Well, I supposes that's true, that freckles would be preferred to tattoos of words, etc. I just don't personally care for facial tats.

Neither freckles nor a tattoo I am happy with my clear skin and for which I know many struggle to get there. Drinking plenty of water is the secret.

Isn't it funny that people often want what they don't have, or moan over what choices they made? They want shorter hair, so they cut it all off. Then they moan about how much they hate it and grow it back. They want certain colored hair, then hate it. Personally, I wouldn't ever care to have a tattoo, I have nothing against them at all except I do really hate seeing them on someone's face.

I do feel bad for those who think they have to follow silly trends and not put much thought into it all. Regrets can be pretty tough.

That is so crazy. When I was young, freckles were not cool at all. My neighbor tried many of the things you mentioned , though I never heard of bleach, ouch.

No, people teased the kid with the freckles (like the kid could control that) and they just weren't cool. Now, they are tattooing them on their faces. Seems unreal.
