My check actually went further than it normally does because I had overtime on it.
I got everything that had to be paid this paycheck paid and have my remaining envelopes in order of importance.
In September I get one of those magical extra checks so I am looking forward to seeing what I can pay off with that.
I don't have much left to pay for the month for bills. Just rent, garbage, internet, car payment again, a subscription box that I can't cancel, the other half of both groceries and gas.
Everything past that is a want.
For example, I want to put $500 in my car repair envelope. It probably won't happen, but it is my eventual monthly goal.
Gas only needs another $100 and Groceries needs another $200. I figure $400 a month for a family of 4 is a good grocery budget.

I did that before, having separate envelopes for expenses. It helped me with budgeting.
