STORK PARTIES

We have attended many stork parties over the years, and happily taken a small gift for the baby. While I understand the mother to be does not want all of her baby gifts to be duplicated, I don't agree when the gift is requested. Also an entry fee of baby lotion, bottle, etc. I like to go and buy something nice for the baby, and then it is a surprise for the mother? What do you think about this. Maybe I have become old fashioned?

If the mother to be gets registered at a certain store. Than you would have many things to choose from. Plus see what others have choosen from the list. That way you know the mother to be would like. She would still be surprised. If the mother to be requests something,it usaully means shes needs it. It helps if you know what everyone else is getting. But you won't. Unless you can think of a very unique gift. Chances are she will get duplicates of something. But no mother needs duplicate stollers or baby beds.

Registering at a store sounds like a good thing. Thanks for responding.
