the Thread app is just newly launched but the way people rushed to download and use the app is amazing. probably because of easy registration linked to Instagram. i started using the app yesterday night but I think I will prefer it to twitter.

For the dinosaurs like me it is interesting to know that you do not need a smartphone, you can go to the Threads site using your computer.

@pureme Correct, there is a desktop app available for Mac and Windows to access Threads using a computer

that would be better truly, meanwhile you cant access it directly without downloading the app

@pureme I would be careful downloading the Threads app for PC. If there is one online, it's not from Meta. The Meta Threads site says there is no desktop app available yet.

I rarely use social media other than Facebook. I don't want to download any more apps and I have no intention of using Instagram or anything related to it. I saw Threads because someone I follow on social media shared his new account. It was quite funny because he'd asked people to go there so they could chat away from the 'elderly Facebook-addicted relatives', and then received several comments showing that the majority of followers are, in fact, the older Facebook crowd!

the space on the phone is a major for upcoming apps truly. in fact I had to uninstall some old apps to install the thread app on my phone.

Hahaha funny people rush I to anything new without even knowing how it works properly. I will have to look at it first I don't just accept anything am that one kind of person who really needs to know everything like it took a while for me before downloading Twitter

I downloaded it, but didn't post anything yet. I don't know that I really need another social network, maybe to publicize my blogs. That's what I use Facebook for anyway.

Is this the one that Elon Musk is mad at? They not allowing Twitter on it. I find that funny in itself considering Elon is banning Twiiter from pretty much every thing.
