Double daylilies

Each of these blooms will only last for a day, but they are abundant. Hummingbirds like them, as do butterflies and moths.
These are at the front of my house, so I see them often. I have some in back that are the single. People call them "ditch lilies" because they grow wild up and down the country roads.
I am going to take a little more trash out and head for Newton. I will be seeing a dermatologist there. Then back to Marion for the dentist. This is my month to get things done for my medical, before we go back to school. I will have to see you all later.
Happy Monday!

I wonder if you need to "disturb" them and dig them to make them feel like growing? I wish I had more colors.

@GardenGerty We never had to do anything with them for so many years. It has all to do with the weather - raining when it should not and so on.

I think I prefer the single ones. The doubles look a bit sinister.

I've never seen double lilies like that before. The ones if front of our house are single lilies, too.
Have fun at your doctors' appointments.

Those are very beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen double ones before. What a pity they only last a day.

Lovely flowers. I like the ones that attract hummingbirds. Good luck with your appointments. Have a great day.

I hope everything is okay. My dad has to see a dermatologist every six months after he had some skin cancer removed. All those years of working in the fields as a kid caught up with him. I know you’ve spent a lot of time outside too.
I love the flowers!

We have ones that look similar that I love. They grow wild here too.

My grandmother had these growing all along one side of her house. So pretty. They grew abundantly too along the irrigation ditch.

Those lilies are really pretty but we don't have them here, I'll bet you already know why ![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)
