There is a clause there that says you get a fixed amount or the invested value of your money whichever is higher. During a time of market downturn, you are guaranteed to get that fixed amount. Sigh! I should have pushed through with it. I should have trusted.
With term insurance though its like thrown in the trash can but of course there is the protection.
We realize things after some time.

My husband has gone for both term insurance and life insurance. I felt that it was not needed as we had life insurance. But he had his own reasons to show that's needed. Well, taking such decisions can be really tricky.

Wow you and your husband are very financially smart. My mother also has one she named us beneficiary. I feel like crying for having such a loving mother.

@yoalldudes I am not that smart but yes, my husband is quite responsible and knowledgeable when it comes to finance. I am still learning and there is a long way.
Your mom is really so much caring

@yoalldudes Sort of you pay for so long and you can cash out and collect the money yourself.

Our insurance pays more and more each year as the dividends are reinvested. Enjoy your day.

If only I can be healthy in old age I can enjoy it because dividend reinvesting and compounding will make one rich.
