This is a silly discussion, but it's the gospel truth. I found a piece of BQed potato chips in the pages of my library book.
No, that avid reader was not being careless. Instead, they were enjoying a snack, while reading a book!
I am not one who snacks whenever I'm reading a book. Occasionally I do consume a snack, while enjoying a movie or a television program, but not all the time.
Jay usually eats some type of dessert, quite often ice cream, while watching TV in the evening. For me it's a banana or maybe some Nacho Chips.

I don’t generally eat anything when I read either. Lately, when I’ve been watching TV, I’ve been eating mini carrots. Despite telling me my new medication would not increase my appetite, it HAS increased it. Therefore, in an effort not to gain weight, I’m eating a ridiculous amount of carrots to fill the hole in my stomach.
I’d much prefer your nacho chips!

I eat those mini carrots almost every day, I love them! They aren't low in carbs, but I still crave them:)

I found a really cool low cal snack. Their baked peas! The company that makes them is Harvest Snaps and they're out of Fairfield California. You can find out more at their website: HARVESTSNAPS.COM I love the darned things because they are crunchy, flavorful and healthy. Another big plus is that the bag rattles like the cat treat bag so they come running when I eat them, expecting that I'm going to give them their kitty treats. I always do, but it's fun watching them beg for the minute and a half that I last through their begging. My favorite is the green pea snacks that are Parmesan roasted garlic flavor. Hummmm...I may go up and get a couple of bags and the change for doing my laundry now that I mention the snacks.

@BearArtistLady I forgot about those! Thank you for mentioning them; that's a good alternative to constant carrots.
*I just ordered some, and got the 20% off for first time buyers.

@much2say I sat the book open in front of a heat vent, over night. The next day, the pages were crinkled, but surprisingly not stained. Shutting the pages pressed out those wrinkles.

One time, I spilled coffee on a book's pages, I felt like crying! @much2say

I often end up with food on my PJs if I eat while in bed.

In the morning, I eat something in my car, along with my cup of coffee. I always end up with crumbs on the front of my shirt and on the car seat!

And when people borrow books from the library, it's vital to take good care of them.

@kobesbuddy Exactly, how do you forget that! Still, not a book I'd be keen on borrowing

I hate when I find food in a book. It happens quite often. Enjoy your day.

When people borrow a library book, they should be more considerate:(

That is interesting and at least it was chips and not something messy. I have popping popcorn at home to save on the price of snacks and now and then when I put on a movie I will pop some corn for myself,

I suppose there are worse things that you could find in a library book.
