There was a fly in my fridge!

I have a little fridge in my room. Actually, I have 2 little fridges in my room.
This was actually my wife's room before she died, I moved into it so I didn't disturb the roommate who had been working in the front room, which is where my computer was. Actually, it is still there, but I use my wife's more powerful one.
Back to the fridge.
So, I've been brewing tea and then when it cools, I'll put the mug or mugs into the fridge until I'm ready to pour them over ice later. So, that is what I just did, and there, on the edge of the top shelf was a rather dormant fly. So, I scooped it into my hand, rolled over to the trash, grabbed a used tissue and grabbed the fly.
And, now there is no longer a fly in my fridge, there's a dead fly in my trash!
And that makes me happy!
What little thing made you happy today?

That's a good thing. I've been messaging a young man in Germany where he's home for the summer. No, joke, he's young enough to be a grandchild! He's writing a story in English and he's got a few linguistic things from German that isn't translating well to English.

@ElicBxn Oh ok. Yes. The language is a little bit difficult but they understand English You can communicate with him in English or tell him atleast that you are more comfortable with English and I`m sure he will communicate with you in English

Oh, no, he's continuing his education in Florida, so he's comfortable with English and he's writing his fiction in English, but he uses the same phrase to describe someone within a few lines of the story, something readers of English quickly weary of. And he'll do things like put a comma (,) on the outside of a quote mark (") so it looks like this (",) instead of inside it like this (,") and I've also seen him put commas after another punctuation mark like this (?",)
