All that for a box of soap...

Box of soap it took me a long journey to get

Since last week, I think, I've recieved two slips in the mail saying a package could not be delivered, and to pick it up at this out-of-the way post office annex I'd been to once or twice before. Since I couldn't remember the exact location, I asked the bus driver where exactly to get off, since I knew from looking at a Google map that I'd have to walk a bit. He told me, and when I got off I started walking in the direction he'd said. All I saw was a self storage facility in that direction, so I walked the other way and asked someone in a store if they knew where it was. I started walking the direction they said, and still didn't see anything, so I went in another store and asked. I was told, "That way, right by the Starbucks". So, I walked that way looking for a Starbucks, which I never did find. I was walking around looking for the Starbuck's, and I saw three guys by their landscaping truck. I asked them, and one of the guys said something about that buisness park being a really big place, and offered to drive me, and another of the guys started looking at the GPS on his phone. By then I was just about ready to go home, so the guy let me get in the front seat of his truck, and the other two guys got in the back, and the guy with the GPS on his phone gave directions from the back seat. They wound up bringing me to the back of the building I needed (fortunately it wasn't that much trouble walking around to the front) but I finally got inside and waited in a bit of a line, but I was just happy to be inside out of the sun. Just as I thought, it was some soap I'd ordered, but it turned out that the reason it couldn't be delivered was that there was $15+ postage needed to be paid. Needless to say, I'm going to let the company I bought it from know that I'm not that happy with that. Now I'm home, and ready to find something for lunch. I'm pretty darn sure I walked more than half an hour around that business park, but I had too much else on my mind (not to mention the sun) to think of looking at the time it took.

They shorted you $15 on postage?! That’s ridiculous, and they should be embarrassed.

I think so, too. Needless to say I wrote them telling them it makes me very hesitant to buy from them again.

@xstitcher I hope they do the right thing, and reimburse you for the money.

It is really kind of disappointing. I hope that they will give you a good reason for that

I do, too. Certainly not a good way to run a business.

They should've delivered it. Sometimes I wonder if some services are lazy. They literally could've knocked on the door and told you money was owed on it and let you decide.

Was the soap even worth that much.?
