A Thankyou Note From Granite

Granite is a young man we've known for 18 years. His Grandpa and Grandma were best friends with us, for a long time.
I said were, because Marilyn passed away last year, in April. And now it's hard to find Paul at home, he seems to be on the go all the time. Our friend Jim keeps him busy, so Paul doesn't feel quite as lonely.
Anyway, Granite graduated from high school this year. We gave him a cash gift, for which he politely wrote us a sweet thankyou note.
And Granite's mother passed away, one month after Marilyn's death. This was hard to imagine, Shari had been battling cancer for a few years. She had a bad reaction to her last chemotherapy treatment and never recovered.
Granite seems to be doing well, in spite of these painful experiences. His mother and Grandma are proudly looking down, from their new home in heaven!

How sad for this young man to have to got through such loss. It's nice that he is polite and sent you the thank you.

Yes, losing first his Grandma, then his mother one month later! The family is doing better, as time passes by.

That's excellent that Granite wrote you a thank you note. We are still waiting for thank yous from two weddings and one shower gift. Sorry he has had such a hard time of it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I had a hard time getting my two kids to write thankyou notes, when they were Granite's age! It's a display of good manners, Shari&Brents kids are all this way.

Brent and Shari became such wonderful parents! They have three other children, Brooke-22, Paige-19 and Khloe-13.
