Mylotter friends, I know I'm still very behind on posting and commenting on posts from last month and even this month. Hopefully I'll do it this week, when things are calmer and settled with Wylie after work in the late afternoons/early evenings. I hope to post my belated June report card tomorrow and my belated Mid-July recipe list on Wednesday at the latest.
Last Monday, the assistant manager Jenn did come over to do some one-on-one employee coaching to help with productivity for the quotas. She suggested to bring my Blue Bin closer to my workstation table to save me a step or two. As for the quick sort, she showed me to grab a bunch of dingy clothes and toss them into the salvage Gaylord box. And then place the good stuff to go through on the table and check for stains, holes, and what not. I've started to implement it a little bit last week and hope to do so this week, too.
Last Tuesday, I came close to hitting 3 bins with 2.85 bins. If I had a little bit more time, I would've crushed it on the nose. Last Monday, I also came close to hitting 3 bins with 2.65 cleared bins. Only time will tell, if I'll hit 3 bins or more this week at work. Still aiming to hit 3.5 by the end of July, and possibly 4 by Labor Day Weekend.
Last Thursday and yesterday, due to the new layout of the textile processing station, I only managed to clear out two bins even those days. And that's the minimum I would go for pre-sorting textiles on any day.
I'll check back in tomorrow with some commenting and posting, and maybe share a new photo of Bailey. See you then.

What is your ultimate goal there? I mean ideally how many would they like you to do?

Four bins and pick up speed. I would love to be a textile processor by the end of the year hopefully. They want me to do 5 bins, one per hour, with quick-sorting the donations. I can't do five. But four is what I hope to achieve by Halloween.
