A few darker mooded ones today, which seems to happen more and more nowadays. 1/. A bouquet of weeds Giver expects my gratitude Time to prune down friends Reaction to cruelties masquerading as jokes that I'm somehow expected to appreciate and smile along with. 2/. Trust betrayed once Too often amputated Along with mercy Self explanatory. 3/. Time travelling back…. Starting this off once again Time travelling back…. Trying to create a time loop idea here. 4/. Chocolate liquor bottles Whisky, vodka, brandy, gin Not seen them for years Every Xmas I used to get boxes of little chocolate bottles containing actual tots of strong alcohol. Not seen them for a long time though. No idea if they are still produced. An odd gift to give to children. 5/. Rising bitterness With microscopic patience Kicking in with (r)age Another negative one with the closing wotd doubling as age and rage as both work, or fail in equal measure. Arthur Chappell
