My Stepdad Volunteered His Car for my Check-up

I am going work to strengthen my finances so I can have check-up in a good doctor in the city. My partner will be the driver. I asked him if he needs someone who knows the in and out in Manila to alternate driving the car. I hope the herbal medicines will hold out until I am able to save up enough money.
My mother who loves me so much offered her retirement money for my check-up. I love her so much. But I wouldnt want to dip into her money so I am working despite my condition. My stepdad gave me encouraging advice and that has made my mind clear because I'm beaten by my illness.
I consider myself very lucky to have some supportive people in my life. My officemates are extra kind and supportive with me. An officemate even brought coconut that I need for healing.
I hate so much because I like to be independent and capable. Or so I thought. I need people.

How ironic that I have a Quora space named Living Alone. It is something I created when I thought my daughter will be studying in Manila and my partner will leave me for another woman.

@yoalldudes If your partner ever leaves you for another woman, and he would be nuts to do so, let us know where he is, and me and a few other Mylotters will find him and “teach him a lesson”. You are too good of a person to be treated poorly.
I’m glad though, that he is treating you well.

@LindaOHio It's a wonderful feeling . That is what I think of when I go to work. Also the companionship of my officemates is good.

I made it to work for several days a week and waiting for wounds in hand and feeet to heal so I can report to work again. It's good to receive a good paycheck.

You can be both actually. I think I also feel like that most of the times. But when I got this condition of mine I realized that I need the assurance of people I trust and love and they responded and supported me to carry this. I know there are times they also feel down or pressured from the support they give so I let them be since I know it has limits too.

@yoalldudes The condition we have right now needs a lot from them and I feel like a burden at times when I feel like paralyzed. That is why I feel like I have to do something to compensate for the times I need them.

@yoalldudes Often during my life, I had more from strangers than from family.

@LadyDuck That is good too that you find people who will support you not blood family but you can call them family if they support you and care for you.
