And another thing I hate. . .

I hate it when I want to do something and Bob tells me I can't, or it won't work. It happens every time, so I just wait until he is gone or asleep and do it anyway. I wanted rid of my sofa, because I really need a sleeper sofa if I have any sofa, and because Bruno has clawed the fabric and stuffing off of one corner, I really want a recliner for days when I cannot sleep well in bed. Bob says "The cats will just claw the recliner" (I think now that they can go claw trees outside they will not, plus I will use a squirt bottle on them.) Bob says "It is longer than the trailer, it will not fit". But I know we got it here somehow, and if it does not fit completely it can hang out. So, I was awake at 4:30 this morning. I made coffee. Ate a small breakfast and then moved the sofa, got it out the door--a real challenge. I did not start that until it was light. Using the 2 wheel dolly I got it to the trailer. Let it rest a while, then popped it in. You know what? It does fit. That was all done before seven this morning. Quit telling me I can't. I will have to prove you wrong!!

You is Woman! I hear you roar! I really hate it when someone says "It can't be done" especially when they say "We tried it once." Once? Have they never heard of "Try, try again"?

Sometimes you have to step back, eyeball the task, then do it in small pieces.

@GardenGerty You know the answer to the question 'How do you eat an elephant?' 'One bite at a time.'

@Fleura Exactly right. Sometimes I move things one inch at a time. It does eventually get done. If I am honest I enjoy the challenge.

Congratulations, it's amazing what you arrived to do all alone. Husbands have this habit to tell us that we can't. If we want, we can.

@GardenGerty Exactly but some people seem to have no brain at all. They should go to see the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

It was a big job for an old lady but it would have been a bigger job for him and he is a bit older than me. I think I judge sizes better. Plus if it was too long it could just hang out.

I am actually doing my workouts to be ready for back to school. I have listened too much to the "you can't do that" and it is going to stop.

I think he has poor judgement on what will fit where. I am filling up a trailer for a trip to the dump.

Yes, do not believe or trust what other people discourages you not to do. Because inside we bested interest. Expecially when it comes from a close friend.

Good for you. Vince makes up similar excuses if he doesn't want to do something. Like you, I just wait till I'm on my own then get on with it. It's surprising what one person can manage sometimes.

The nice thing is that while I am up really early I can get stuff done. Until school starts, then I have to get ready for work.
