Wednesday Update + Tulip Design

I mentioned yesterday that I was having trouble getting one of the meds my doctor prescribed. They had said that it needed prior authorization sent to the insurance because they needed to know I needed it for the right reasons (some are using it just for weight loss which is not it's intended use).
Well last night I went to pick up 2 other meds that I was planning to pick up and they said they had the other for me too. What med is that? Mounjaro - it is a shot I will give myself once a week. It is similar to what I was taking before (Ozempic) but I think it works a bit differently. I have heard that some have lost tons of weight on this. Ozempic was supposed to help with that too, but it just did not. It was supposed to make it so I was not hungry too which never happened.
But now I am on 4 different pills (only 2 for diabetes) and a weekly shot and insulin. if I can ever stick to low carb long enough to that it becomes my way of life I would hope to get off of most of the meds. But for now, I do need the help...
Anyways - that is the update for now. What do you think? Have you ever tried the shots like Ozempic, Mounjaro, wegovy, etc...?
Image - a tulip design I made. I asked yesterday what other flowers I should try to make and this was one of them. What do you think?

I don't think I ever could. When my doctor's office 'diagnosed" me with diabetes I refused meds because my numbers barely met the criteria and my sugars are well-controlled. I don't know if I could ever give myself shots, even if I do test daily.

@MommyOfEli2013 My dad had to do it twice a day. Always had to walk out when he'd do it.

Well that is good that your numbers are controlled well. I didn't think I could ever give myself shots and I have been on different shots over the years and now daily insulin.

Glad you like the design.
I hope that it does, there is something in it that should make me feel full longer. Ozempic should have too but didn't. but this has different "ingredients"

I think you made me love tulips even more than I did before I told you they were my favorite. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I wish I could make it my phone background, but I don’t know how to do that.
We’ll just hope (yes, I said we for some reason) that this does the job. Because I know you put blame on yourself for eating carbs, but Ozempic WAS definitely supposed to curb your cravings. It is literally supposed to make you want to eat less. And that’s exactly what it did for two people I know who took it. So that’s not on you. Surely, this new medicine will set you up for success.

@MommyOfEli2013 I’ll give that trick with the tulip a try!
I look forward on hearing how this medication helps you. Surely, it will. And, like you said, when you go low carb that will probably make it even more successful.

@AmbiePam I know that it is possible on the computer, not sure on a phone lol!
Well I will share as time goes by how it is working. Not sure if I will be able to know if the med is helping or just the low carb once I get back on that though LOL!

I haven't seen your work for quite a while, Courtney. I kinda missed them. This is a lovely work,
Anyway, I hope you can find a way to cut down your carb intake and get off those meds.
Get well soon.

I like the tulip. So far I'm not diabetic, knock on wood, so I don't take any of those medications. I hope the Mounjaro works for you. Enjoy your day.
