If the phone rings in the middle of the night I am always afraid it is bad news. I have had calls like that before. I hate being awakened to find out a loved one has passed away or is in the emergency room. I would still rather they call and let me know instead of waiting until morning.

It's the worst for me. Because of my baby, I fall asleep around 9:00, the nights my brother works, he gets off about 9:30...so I have to wake-up, go get him from work, and then try to fall back asleep, one of the hardest things to do

We don't have the ringer on on our bedroom phone for just that reason. When the kids used to live at home and were out in the evening, we had to leave the phone on just in case, and we got awakened so many times. Now we don't have anyone out in the night to worry about, we figure whatever can just wait until we get up in the morning!
