Where is the best place in the world to snow ski and why?

I have only been skiing in two locations: Beech Mountain, North Carolina and Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. I went to Colorado on my honeymoon in 1997. We left a beautiful springtime outdoor wedding and went to Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. They had just had their biggest snow storm of the season the week before we came. We were skiing in t-shirts by the end of the week. It was so beautiful there...just breathtaking. It has its own little town on top of the mountain, or you can go a few miles to the base of the mountain of the old-fashioned town of Crested Butte, Colorado. It has a great variety of skiing terrain.

I really dont know because I have never tried to go skiing and I dont think I ever will. To scared

I was just in Salt Lake City, Utah over Christmas (second year there). We really like it there for several reasons. - We stayed at the Studio 6 in southern part of Salt Lake City and it is right by the freeway (for getting to the slopes each day) - there are 7 different resorts within 20 miles of the motel - 2 world class resorts - Alta and Deer Valley - most of the driving to slopes is freeway or open roads (even right after a snow storm the night before) We will definitely try Colorado sometime since we have heard alot of good about it as well.

My son enjoys snowboarding in Colorado near Carson. He went to Korea and did some snowboarding there also. Here in Michigan, my son and two of my daughters will make snowboarding an outing during Christmas time. I think the best place is the one that you personally enjoy.
