I used to be a minimalist at least I tried to be. But after what I have experienced like running out of comfortable clothes and intimate apparel. It may be because of the unavailability of our househelp. Also we have stock of toiletries and staples like oil salt. So we dont have to run to the store everytime we need it. These are just some examples. But I still follow minimalism in these other aspects of my life like getting rid of debt that sure is clutter, quarelling that is a relationship clutter. Good day, good evening, myLotters.

If spending money is necessary, then I suppose there is nothing wrong with it. I believe that spending should be done for as long as it is necessary in order for us to enjoy life. What's wrong if we spend money on items we don't need and then accumulate them in our homes, making them cluttered?

I agree. There are spending that are necessary for mental health and family relationships like going on vacations together. I hope we get to that point.

@yoalldudes Yeah it would be fun doing that. We do that every now and then when we have an extra cash saved. I think it is important to spend time with family now that our children are growing fast and soon enough we would be letting them go and live their lives.

@rsa101 I am worried about empty nest. I do hope me and my partner have enough bond and love for each other to be each other's company once our daughter go on her own way. But that wont be until 3 years so Im not rushing. I enjoy her presence and comapny and Im happy to take care of her.

@yoalldudes yup, always good to strike a good balance between just having enough and having something extra.

The less clutter, whether it be physical or emotional, the better, I agree.

I don't like to do unnecessary spending. I am trying to declutter our lives; and I don't like bringing more "stuff" into the house. Enjoy your day.

That is good. You are a minimalist too. It just made me feel uneasy when I run out of comfortable summer clothes. I love comfortable clothes to beat the summer heat.
