Try that in a small town

That is the name of Jason Aldean's song that was banned from the CMT music awards. In a time when people can show up on stage dressed like the devil (Sam Smith, Unholy at grammy) or a young lady can sing about her female body part (Cardy B singing WAP), I fail to see why this song was banned, especially after watching the video, then looking up the lyrics.
Some said it was racist, but I fail to see that. Some said it was violent, not really, especially in comparison to other songs out there. There are songs about shooting cops and so on.
I figure you listen to what you want, I don't care, I control what comes into my house and set the rules for music in my house. kinda a live and let live motto I guess.
here is the video, if you are interested in taking a look. Have a wonderful day.
sorry, I couldn't make a link. I think my chrome is too old. you'll have to copy and paste I guess

I would rather have kept that building out of the video after I found out it’s history, but I don’t think it’s a racist song or video. The sick things I’ve heard in rap music are far more offensive than anything to do with this particular song.

I'm not sure if he knew the history or had a reason to research the history of the court house there. Fact is, there is ugly in our history. I don't think we should hide it. I also feel like somebody decided to "stir the pudding" and do the research to find out the history as well. Do we often check the scenery in all videos? I don't think so.

Spotify has removed the song. I asked them why (although I know why, they're cowards) and was given the run around. They've caved to the woke mentality, but angering a lot of paying customers.

that's why I can't get it anymore. I wondered. i've Been playing on youtube when I couldn't get it on the spotify. I am not surprised by their actions, but very sad about them. it was strange, last time I played the song, my app just completely locked up, I had to reinstall it.

I've heard about it last week, though it's old news. It wasn't banned from the CMT award show since it already took place this spring. It was banned from airing on CMT entirely. Jason better rethink his video if he wants to reshoot it, and not be at a lynching site, or show clips of massive violence that made the news. I do like the song though.

The song was AGAINST all the violence and protecting your family and property. Which of that are you against?

The same with me that if I am offended by songs that use racial slurs or material that is not happy. It is not allowed to played on my playlist.

I don't see anything really wrong with the song and I have always enjoyed stopping at small country stores when I have been out in the country, Basically all he is saying that ll the bad things that happened in big cities would not go down well in small towns because people would stand up against the bad guys as much as they could.

The reason it was banned was because the powers that be, this administration wants to control every aspect of our lives, including what we listen to and see. Lead by leftist liberal elites, Marxists, woke ideology proponents, big corporations and social media sites.
Unless Americans wise up that their rights are being taken away by the government just like a 3rd world or Communist country it will get worse. The only solution is to support the other party and vote them out!
