I gave up my job mid way just to get away from that 9 to 5 boredom. I was paid well but felt that I should call it a day and rework on my schedule. That gave me time to visit friends and relatives, completing a couple of courses computers, cooking and did a course in German, learnt to swim.
My love for gardening and creating flower arrangements saw me having a flower arrangement exhibition and had a stint in designing and executing landscaped gardens for builders. Got time to visit our newly acquired property where we have now settled down and that gave me an opportunity to design my own house.
And last but not the least satisfied my passion for travel.
Felt like a free bird in flight.
All in all it was a good decision.
What's your story?

Good you are not bored yet. What I am doing now keeps me merrily on my toes and at times I choose.

I am happy not to be working in the fast food industry to work as a blogger on this site.

I gave up when I still had years and one can do so much in one's younger days

It's a great way to stay independent and enjoy your life. Are you getting any rental income too?

Glad you are enjoying life. I also gave up my full-time job 10 years ago. I just work on some projects occasionally.

If we have taken care of our financial stability there is nothing better than living a life of our choice.

You made a good decision for you. When I worked I did stuff on the side to have money for my six children to do fun things. I sold at the flea market on my week off. I had items in stores on consignments. Later I sold on ebay, next door and facebook. I did survey and research groups and taste tests on my days off.
