Do you use this program?

I was wondering if any of you guys belonged to the program Amazon Vine? I got an email from Amazon this morning inviting me to join, but I wasn’t sure if it was worth it, and I figured there had to be Mylotters who belonged to it. I don’t often order from Amazon, but the last couple of times I did, I wrote reviews of what I ordered. So this program offers you certain things for free in exchange for a review. I don’t have any intention of reviewing anything super pricey because I don’t want to pay taxes on it, but I thought the inexpensive items might be fun to get for free, and review.
Some of you have never ordered from Amazon, but if I can find something cheaper, I’m probably going to choose to get it from the least expensive option (like the 8 Greens that helped my migraines I wrote about here).
Anyway, just let me know if you have been a part of that before, or if you think it would be worth it. Thanks!

I have a couple of writer friends who are part of this. I would love to be chosen for that. You get all kinds of free stuff just for reviewing the items. Good luck!

@DWDavis Thank you, but I don’t know really. The last two reviews I did were of books a fellow Mylotter wrote for children. You are on my list to get to as well.
I did get one review rejected, and it happened to be the only harsh review I ever did.
It was just of a vitamin I had a bad reaction to!

I had never heard of that program, but that does sound nice to get some items for free in exchange for a review. Didn't know you would have to pay taxes on them! But I have never had to pay taxes, so I wouldn't know.

@MommyOfEli2013 I know.
I found this out when I was 18, and won a trip to Australia and New Zealand. It counted as income, so I had to pay taxes on it. How do you do that when you don't have a job, and make no money because you are in college?! I found a way.

@AmbiePam But...it's free! lol. The world is so unfair! I wouldn't be able to do over $600 either.

That sounds interesting. I have ordered from Amazon. And some shops there actually ships to my country for free as long as the minimum amount of order which I think is $49 is met.

I just found out about it when they invited me to join. Apparently, if you write reviews they think are good, Amazon invites to join a program where they will send you products for free, and you keep them. You just have to write a honest review of the product. You can select any item offered, up to three a day. So far, I only selected one item, a $20 product. I do not want to get something so expensive I have to pay taxes on it.
I don't often write reviews though. I thought maybe some Mylotters were members, and they could tell me more about it. I was concerned it was a scam, but apparently not.

Best of luck to you. I always use Amazon because I get gift cards for them on my survey sites. I will look into this program.

That sounds like it would be fun to get some free stuff and write a review about it. I've ordered from Amazon but never heard of Vine. Maybe because I never write a review??

I hadn’t heard of the Amazon Shopper’s Panel either. Let me know if you end up on Vine. I requested my first free thing to review. You can select up to three things a day, but I only want to select something I might use more than just a couple of times.

I use Amazon but I do not buy enough for that and not sure I would even if I did. My sister and brother have Amazon Prime, brother does not order that much either but sister does.
Sad to say, if it is cheaper I will most likely buy it from the cheapest place. I only buy things I normally need. Very rare for me to buy something that I do not need, unless its like a video game or music or movie.
I did shop at Target and was amazed at how much more expensive Target is on certain things. They wanted 50 bucks for a pair a levi's and that was on sale, normally 60 bucks. I go I knew inflation was bad but not that bad.
