I wear Indian Hair. to me it is one of the most beautiful hair in the world. I buy the Indian Hair from stores in the States. They tell me they import it from Tirupati, India. Is it the religion to sacrifice the hair? Or, are there other reasons? Why would someone give up one of the most beautiful things they have? if it is religious, is it to concentrate on the inner beauty? or for money?

I believe many of the Indian people are of the Hindu religion. They donate their hair at the temple as a way of humbling themselves or shedding their outter beauty so as to concentrate on their inner beauty. The temple sells the hair to companies all over the world who make wigs, hair pieces, and wefts for people like you and I wear. Many cancer victims and other people who suffer hair loss also benefit from their wonderful donation. The money that comes back to the temples goes to the schools and hospitals to support the people of India. I think it is a beautiful circle of life. I would love to hear from the people from India.
