Curtains in the wash

I have big huge windows in the living and dining room. I made matching curtains for them from pale printed sheets. They make it so much cooler when I pull them to block the sun.
They badly needed to be washed, so I took them down. Dusted and cleaned the walls.
I will hang them up while still wet. They are not very heavy. Mom always did that so she did not have to iron the curtains. The weight pulled the wrinkles out.
We did not go to church, Bob was not ready to get up.That is why I am cleaning the curtains.

We have sun blocking curtains; and it sure keeps things cooler when they are shut during the hot, sunny days. Enjoy your day.

I don't have curtains here, just venetian blinds.

I've never hung a curtain while still wet. That sounds like a good idea.

That's a good idea to hang them up while they're wet. I shouldn't be but I'm always surprised how dusty curtains get after a while.

During my mom’s sickness we kind of had other things on our minds than the curtains. So, one day, a little bit after my dad first married my dad Diana took down the curtains to wash them. She was appalled at the dust. We were like, uh, we kind of had bigger things going on.
Quite frankly, no one could tell. If I had noticed it I would have washed them myself.
