Ice Cream Soda or Floats?

Happy Sunday Everyone! a sunny, blue sky day with less humidity. It actually feels comfortable outside and not as stifling as the past few days.
Yesterday we picked up a few things from the supermarket and one of the things that wound up in the cart was a container of vanilla ice cream along with some root beer soda and orange soda.
Do you like root beer floats? I do and that's what we had last night for dessert. It was the perfect refreshing drink after dinner.
Since we have ice cream left tonight we're going to make ice cream sodas. The same vanilla ice cream into some orange soda and it tastes just like a creamsicle.
I don't know if a float and ice cream soda are the same thing but I can attest to the fact that whatever the proper name is both are delicious.
Do you enjoy floats and/or ice cream sodas?

Yes I love both of them, our Walmart does specials where they sell ice cream floats for a $1 that goes towards children network...I always get one.

I do, haven't had an authentic one for awhile, but early in the summer I had a Mr. Misty float from DQ. That was yum...

That's a unique name for an ice cream float. Regardless of the name I bet they were still good

Yes I like both. I remember as a kid my Mom showing me how to make a Black Cow which is putting vanilla ice cream in a glass and pouring coke on top and eating it with a spoon.

I never had either. But yesterday I had some cookie and cream ice cream that is really good.

if I ordered coke with float. I purposely mix the float to the drink.
