Remember the case of the missing scissors?

How long has it been? A month? I forgot. A recap: I was fixing Sophie's nursery room for her arrival when I lost this pair of scissors. I looked high and low and in every nook and cranny but it was nowhere to be found. There was only one piece of furniture in the room then. So I gave up. Some mylotters suggested it might in the kitchen, others said to check the trash, others said I might have misplaced it in other rooms and not in the nursery. Guess where it was? Under the mattress. Who could have hidden it there? Why wasn't it there when I checked it before? Whoever borrowed it probably decided it was time to return this beautiful pair of scissors. Case solved.

They were not under the mattress, but they slipped there and you finally found them.

Yes it slipped under there but when I lost it, I knew there was a possibility it could be under the mattress, so I checked it there before. But it wasn't there. And then last night it reappeared.

@toniganzon Sometimes things "hide" in a way we cannot see them at first. Sleeping on the mattress it moved and you could see it later.

@LadyDuck Nobody sleeps on that mattress. Nobody sleeps in Sophie's room.

The thing is, I didn't forget where it was. I knew exactly where I left it. But it just went missing.

Yes, and I actually checked it under the mattress. And yes I am glad to have this pair back as it was a gift from a friend. Didn't tell him I lost it because if I did, he would buy me another pair.
