Who would have thought..

End of February 2020 when we went to this tourist spot. A 5-6 hour drive away from home. It was a a place where people usually enjoy a cooler weather in the summer. Fresh air, beautiful view, and very peaceful. No internet, no phone signal. We were cut off from whatever was happening around the globe. Danie was having the time of her life and was enjoying the new environment. She was enjoying the country side view for a change. Little did we know, that people were starting to panic in the city as news of lockdown was spreading. Who would have thought this could ever happen. And who would have thought it would last for a year.

Danie is sooo cute!! At that time, we all finally convinced my sister and her husband not to go on their planned trip to Japan. They weren't worried about some "flu" that was going around. Instead they took a local trip to the desert - away from people and news. I told them that the grocery stores here were getting a bit weird . . . they didn't believe me as nothing was happening in their vacationing area. But they came home and noticed. It was a strange time.

@toniganzon Eventually all the world was affected by it . We are not all out of the woods yet, but thank goodness we are now in a better place from those times.

@much2say Way much better. The virus will never disappear anyway, just like the flu. But we are living normally now without that big fear.

While we were driving home and our phones suddenly got the signals back, messages kept pouring in and news of what was happening in the US and the number of cases of covid overwhelmed us. Our country was still safe then.

That was really nice that you were out of touch with what was happening since it was all so tense moment for everyone. I was at work and people started to whisper about what is about to happen then we got our last general meeting and talked about what was about to happen. Then we were dismissed earlier as we somehow were quite happy about a week of break as we thought it would be. But the weeks passed by and the lockdown was still there.

We came back home just before the lockdown and we were even calling other resorts as we still wanted to travel more. Bu nobody would accept us anymore.

There was no other lockdown that happened in 2020. There was only the pandemic.
