An enjoyable evening with my friend and his wife.

John and I jammed on guitar and harmonica yesterday. His wife called and told him to tell me not to leave until she got home from the market. She gave me a yummy cantaloupe, some huge zucchini squash and a yellow squash. I cooked some squash up in olive oil and soy sauce and had it with my dinner. It was really good! I also got to see Louie (three-legged pitbull) and Lucy (grey-muzzled chihuahua). They were John's and my biggest fans until they adopted a brown lab. Now the lab is our biggest fan. He always picks on the other dogs, though, so they can't all be together. I'm off to get some beer. Maybe I'll cook up some more veggies when I get home. How is your Friday shaping up?

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, pony. We got part of the front yard mowed this morning before the battery ran out of juice. I was going to try to mow some more this afternoon but it's 100F outside now and supposed to get hotter. I can't handle that much heat. We can do some more of the yard when it's cooler in the morning, if it doesn't rain on us.
