I was standing outside my neighbor's patio door, ready to give Missy a treat, when there was a loud bang. I knew there was an accident.
I saw several people from my complex standing at the end of the driveway and then heading toward the accident.
I don't know if it will be on the news, but a person there was recording the accident, so it might be called into the news station.
The black car is on its side, and the red car smashed into it. I saw a man climb through the back passenger door. I don't know how many people were involved in the accident. It didn't look like anyone died in the accident, so that's a good thing. From the looks of it, both vehicles are totaled.
It didn't take long for the emergency vehicles to arrive and the police to put up cones.
I went back to get my phone and take pictures of the accident. It's normally a safe neighborhood.

Not right here, but the nearby highway has accidents fairly often, some fatal. One time I saw a car on fire...and one intersection on the highway that adjoins it is particularly bad..and I saw an accident there where the person had to be life flighted to the hospital.

@just4him That one intersection is awful especially on the weekends. They were supposed to be putting a round about in, but not sure that is the ideal solution. I think a light would be better.

The police don't call them accidents. They call them collisions, and I've been in a couple, mostly rear-enders.

@BarBaraPrz I have been involved in 2 rear ends in a 10 year span. One in 2003 and the other in 2011. Not my fault. That's why I detest tailgaters!

@LeaPea2417 I had some tailgaters this weekend. I hate it when they get that close. I'm sorry you were in two accidents because of tailgaters.

Once I was driving on a road and saw the right front side of a car completely damaged by ramming into another car that was perhaps standing in front.
It was a mess but while people seemed to be arguing, there didn't seem any injury to the people.

I'm glad everybody looks to be okay. No, I haven't seen or heard any accidents since we moved in here about six years ago.
There were a few fender benders at the intersection in front of our last house but we lived there for over 22 years, so some minor stuff could be expected in that much time.

When I was 19 I saw a fatal. A pickup with those “monster tires” blew one and it flipped, throwing the passenger out. I’ve worn my seat belt since that day.

I have not seen one in my neighborhood but a bad one happened on a highway 30 minutes away from my house last month. 5 people were killed. That included a 29 year old Mom and her 2 young kids. It really upset me to learn about.

Not here, but many years ago when I lived in my grandmother's house, there was a huge accident. One of the cars had almost caught on fire.

We saw one accident happen on the freeway. Someone was weaving in and out of traffic and speeding. They crashed a ways in front of us

I don't think I have seen any happen in my neighborhood. I was in a car accident a couple years back.

@just4him nothing much goes on here, but I guess that is a good thing. It's okay, our car got totaled but nobody was hurt.
And guess time will tell if they are....

You are a survivor. You're a cutie girl in your childhood I once experienced intoxicated by water by drinking much of it during card game. Instead of putting money as wager or bets we punish the loser by letting him drink water. I would never like that experience again.

I have never witnessed an accident before. I therefore don't like to see any accident happening before my eyes. Some fatal accidents are devastating to look at.
