Oh how cute! My son is almost 11 months actually! :) His first unspoken word was EAT. He was able to sign the word eat to us at about 6 or 7 months. His first spoken word was "Dada" His second word was "Mom" LOL :)
We'll really need to use the word "bye" with our son more! :) Especially the sign too. :)

having the baby signing is an awesome idea, we'll have to start teaching our baby to sign

That would be a cool thing to do. How do you teach them to say words? Do you sit them down for a period of time repeatedly saying and signing words or what? I have told my daughter "say Dada" and stuff but it usually doesn't make her do anything. She does talk occasionally but only when she feels like it.

I am curious to know how old your child was when she said No for the first time. My daughter is about 10 1/2 months and has not said no yet. She lets me know when she doesn't like something though, that's for sure!

my baby's forst actual word what she said was "dada" then "mama" and then "hiya", that's all she can say upto now plus she mumbles and screams alot. she does wave when she hears somebody saying bye and i think it's so cute, it just makes me laugh! :)
